Introduce your students to a well-loved genre of music by engaging them in music videos and quick facts about six awesome ladies of rock 'n' roll, Pear Deck questions, and simple parody songwriting to Joan Jett's famous song!
This presentation has been designed for educators who are familiar with the Google slides add on, Pear Deck, to encourage students to answer open-ended and quiz questions throughout. If you're not familiar with the add on, no worries at all! Your students can still participate by using the chat and/or voice features on whatever virtual platform you are using. Check the speaker notes section of slides for important info whenever you see this caution symbol in the top right: ⚠️. Included in the speaker notes are instructions on how to easily switch out YouTube videos, an accompanying YouTube playlist which can be accessed here, featured artist/band biographies, and guitar chords for the parody songwriting.
